The Pyramid Tent is designed after the range tipi. It reached its height of popularity in the early 1850s. There is some evidence that this style of tent was used as early as 1820. Key Features - The Red Hawk Difference All seams are sewn with a 3/4 inch flat felt-locking seam. This tent is very fast to set up. It needs only one single pole in the center or you can hang it with two lightweight poles on the outside with optional hanging patch.. The pyramid has reinforced stake loops and a 15 inch sod cloth. The top of the pyramid is reinforced with a double thick patch. The door is sewn on to the tent. Everything on this tent is designed to allow for any kind of shrinkage. All sizes are cut out sizes. Tents will finish smaller.
